Acid Wash And Alternative Solutions, El Paso, Tx
![]() There are many reasons your pool can get dirty and start to look more like a swamp. Maybe in the winter months, you didn't take great care of your pool, and when you opened the pool cover, it looked nasty. Or perhaps the environmental pollution made your pool go from crystal blue waters to green. Whatever reason, be aware of swimming in a nasty pool. Although algae themselves are not dangerous, a swimming pool that looks dirty can be a safe harbor for other harmful bacteria like salmonella. So please prevent a trip to the hospital and give us a call, we are happy to help! At El Paso pool cleaning, we offer acid washing, also called drain and clean, for when your pool needs it. Generally speaking, your pool will need an acid wash every 5 to 7 years if you take care of your pool correctly. We recommend not acid- wash your pool too much, because we will remove a thin layer of the pool's surface. So doing it too much can damage the coating. Depending on the type of pool you have, for example, a pool with a thin plaster, acid-wash is not even recommendable. We love to help you figure out if it might be the time for a drain and clean. Our professionals are trained to make the best solution for your specific case! An acid-wash can remove mineral stains, chlorine stains, dirt stains making your pool sparkle again! It can make a tremendous difference when a dirty layer of plaster is removed, exposing the new fresh plaster! Call today to see how we can help you. 915-529-4638 |

We also offer a 'no drain acid wash.' In this process, we clean the pool plaster, without having to drain your pool. We lower the pH to a very acidic level and regulate the alkalinity close to zero. Then we scrub the pool with a steel brush several times that day, which loosens the dirt. After three days, the water chemistry returns to normal. This technique is less invasive than a regular acid wash. In some cases, we prefer to do this.
